3-LED IP68 Module for Illuminated Signage

Designed for professional signage applications, the HYRITE MK-P three-LED module features three Philips Lumileds 2835 SMD LEDs, delivering 1.1W power and 120–130 lm luminous flux per module.

Its 175° wide-beam micro-prism optics help achieve smooth light distribution, while the parallel circuit design helps maintain illumination when an individual module malfunctions.

With IP68-rated protection, compact construction and flexible voltage and color options, it is suitable for channel letters, advertising light boxes and commercial signage.

The 1:3 ratio is a laboratory reference for installation planning. It indicates a reference relationship in which module spacing is three times the installation depth. Actual module spacing should be verified according to the sign structure and required illumination.

Laboratory reference: At a 100 mm installation depth, the datasheet lists x = 220 mm, y = 200 mm and illuminance = 1480 lux. These values are reference data under the specified laboratory conditions, not guaranteed results for every installation.

Important: DC12V is the default configuration and DC24V is optional. Use constant-voltage power supplies only. Do not connect the modules to constant-current power supplies. Do not exceed 50 modules per chain. The total number of modules connected to one power supply must also comply with the power supply rating and wiring design.

Installation Recommendations

Clean the inside surface of the sign or light box and remove dust, oil and debris.
Peel off the protective liner from the 3M adhesive tape. Use suitable screws where required to secure the modules firmly.
Drill wiring holes at the bottom or side of the sign box and use suitable grommets to protect the wires.
Connect the modules in parallel using suitable connectors. Do not exceed 50 modules per chain.
Cap all unused wires. Do not loop the module chain to create a closed circuit.
Run the DC supply wires to each channel letter or light box and connect them to the module-chain input. Match the power supply voltage to the selected module rating.
Observe correct polarity: the red/white wire is positive (+), and the white wire is negative (−). Check the product markings before connection.
Connect the AC power line to the input wires of the power supply after completing the DC-side wiring.

Storage & Maintenance

Disconnect power and allow all modules to cool completely before maintenance.
Do not pull on the wires when removing modules.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, pressure, vibration and corrosive or flammable gases.
Do not clean with thinner, benzene or other volatile solvents.
Avoid sulfur-containing materials and gases to prevent discoloration and failure.
For signboard installations, provide adequate ventilation and drainage.
Do not excessively bend, twist or pull the power cables.
